Bacon Wrapped Asparagus

Here’s a quick, tasty and inexpensive appetizer that your family will truly enjoy. I’ve cooked “Bacon Wrapped Asparagus” quite often this summer and I always pair it with grilled steak and saffron rice. If you ever make this recipe please let me know how it goes, you can always tweak according to your taste and preference.

Ingredients:

A bundle of asparagus

A pack of thick sliced bacon

1/2 teaspoon of garlic and parsley powder

1/2 teaspoon of freshly cracked black pepper

1 teaspoon of extra virgin olive oil

2 tablespoon of teriyaki sauce

Sesame Seed (optional)

Direction:

Wash and pat dry the asparagus and cut the bottom part of the stalk (about an inch).  Mix the extra-virgin olive oil together with the garlic and parsley powder and black pepper and spread evenly on to the asparagus. Take 8-10 stalks depending on how thick the asparagus and put into two slices of bacon and start rolling them (Secure with a toothpick). Grill for 8-10 minutes until the bacon is golden brown (You might need to turn sides to make sure the bottom and side part are evenly cooked as well). Sprinkle some teriyaki sauce and let it sit for a minute or two, sprinkle some sesame seed (optional).
